This privacy policy is to provide knowledge on how your personal information, which includes your file notes are collected and used within our practice and how it is stored on our new software “Jane”.

 

When you register as a patient of our practice, you provide consent for our practitioners to access and use your personal information for healthcare purposes.

Your privacy is very important to us and only with your permission will your medical and personal information be shared with a third party.  We take significant precautions to protect your personal information from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

Our main purpose for collecting, using and holding your personal information is to provide the best healthcare services to you. We also use it for administrative processes such as, financial claims and payments, practice audits and accreditation.

 

The information we will collect about you includes:

Names, date of birth, addresses, contact details, medical and family history.

 

Your personal information will be stored at our practice primarily as electronic records. “Jane” data is coded by using 256-bit encryption, this means it is very secure when being accessed from our computer. It is the same level of security as banks use to transfer and see personal information.  The data is stored safely in Sydney, Australia on servers that are SOC2 certified at a minimum, which means that only authorized individuals have access to them.

We are not at all connected with the government server “My health” records and do not share any of your information with other medical professional without your consent. ENHANCE Healthcare staff are the only people that have access to it. When accessing your file it is secured by a username and password.
