Massage Therapy

Types of Massage

At Enhance our Therapists are fully qualified in a variety of techniques. We offer Therapeutic, Remedial & Deep Tissue: This is a massage that targets specific muscles, using pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle tissue to release stored tension. Some more relaxing techniques are often used amongst the firmer and targeted pressure to leave you feeling better and to provide some tension release to the surrounding muscles without inducing bruising.

+ Sports Massage

This is applying different techniques to specific muscle groups that are used during a sporting event. Sports massages are aimed at pre event, post event or a midweek maintenance massage. This will assist your sporting performance, reduce chance of injury, loosen overworked muscles, relieve pain and prepare your body for the next event.

+ Lymphatic Drainage

This is designed to remove toxin build up in the body. This technique is best used in with other types but people that respond well from this type of massage are those that have just given up smoking, on a liver cleansing diet, or if you have had lymph nodes removed it is essential to have lymphatic massage and learn self massage techniques.

+ Foot Reflexology

Applying massage and pressure to specific points and zones on the foot which correspond to glands and organs in the body. The results are an all over feeling of well being.

+ Swedish/Relaxation

For those who need to be pampered. You can enjoy a full body massage or have the therapist concentrate on only a few areas.

We are able to accommodate insurance and comcare clients.

+ Benefits of Massage

  • Improves circulation.
  • Encourages the removal of waste products from the body.
  • Facilitates damage tissue healing within the muscles.
  • Stress Relief

+ After your Massage

It is important to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water within the next 24hrs to reduce any headaches or muscle soreness that can be caused from waste products within the body’s system. (This is especially important for deep tissue and therapeutic massages.)

Having a massage can be similar to a workout for your muscles in itself. It is recommended that you do not do any strenuous exercise after your treatment.

If you have any questions or worries please do not hesitate to give the Enhance clinic a call as someone will be able to help you.
